DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – First it was getting the team, then it was getting a name, now Dothan’s new minor league soccer team is one step closer to reality.
On Thursday evening, the Dothan United Dragon soccer club held a “Launch Party” press conference, during which the team unveiled their official crest logo.
The Dothan United logo design features a circular red, black and gold crest to celebrate the “Circle City,” with “Dothan United Soccer Club” written in gold font inside of the black section and a gold dragon centered inside the red section. The dragon is also shaped in a way to incorporate the silhouette shape of a peanut in the negative space inside the curvature between the dragon’s body and tail.
