Carl Reynolds
Reynolds, prior to his one season coaching the Badgers men’s soccer team in Mobile, also served previously as director of soccer for Southern States Soccer in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Leading that organization, Southern States SC won multiple tournament and regular season titles in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), even earning an bid in the 2022 and 2024 US Open Cup, which is the country’s oldest ongoing national soccer competition. The 2022 run to the third-round was the first in the country’s history for a team in its inaugural season. He also served as a coach for Sporting Gijon, a La Liga club in Spain.
As a player, Reynolds was a two-time All-American at William Carey University and played in Chelsea’s academy system in England as well as Chattanooga FC in the NPSL.

Kevin Treminio is a dedicated and experienced soccer coach with a diverse background in developing young talent. He has been a key figure at Southern States Academy, an MLS Next academy, where he has contributed significantly to the growth of the players. His coaching career also includes time with the NPSL team at Southern States, working alongside esteemed coaches Carl Reynolds, Edu Zurita, and Tony Marriel. Additionally, Kevin has served as the head coach at Sacred Heart High School, demonstrating his commitment to fostering athletic excellence at various levels. His passion for soccer and extensive experience make him a valuable asset to every team he mentors.

Antonio marriel
Antonio Marriel was named Development Head Coach, Goalkeeper Coach, and 1st Team Assistant Coach in January 2024.
A native of Brazil, Tony joins the Badgers Men’s Soccer program from Southern States Soccer in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. There, he served as the Academy Goalkeeper Coach, Academy Boys and Girls Coach, and Goalkeeper Coach for the senior team, the “Stars.”
During his time with Southern States, Tony was also the Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach for the Southern States Stars in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). He helped Carl Reynolds lead the club to a 2024 US Open Cup bid, the NPSL Elite Eight, the Gulf Coast Conference Tournament Championship, and the Regular Season Championship with an 11-2-1 record in 2023. In 2022, the club (11-3) reached the 3rd round of the US Open Cup in its inaugural season and was an NPSL Gulf Coast Conference finalist. The previous year, Tony helped lead the team to an NPSL Gulf Coast Conference Tournament Championship and an 11-3-1 record.
In 2012, Tony worked with the Ocala Stampede as Goalkeeper Coach/Assistant Coach, helping Coach RAoberts lead the team to three consecutive Southern Conference and Regional Conference Championships.
His professional playing career included three years as the starting goalkeeper for Worcester Wildfire Pro Soccer in the USISL league. After retiring, Tony became the Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach at the same organization and later served as Interim Head Coach. He also coached the Habcats Indoor Soccer team, winning the championship in his first year, and led Worcester State College Women’s Soccer to an 11-3-3 record and the conference final four in his first season.
Tony holds USSF E, D, and C coaching licenses from US Soccer, a UEFA “C” coaching license, and a Goalkeeper Coach license.
