Dothan, AL- May 22, 2025
Meet one of our returning hometown heroes, Alec Palanjian, who’s bringing big energy and heart back onto the pitch this season! Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida but raised in Dothan, Alec has been immersed in soccer since childhood. From his earliest days on the field here in Dothan, he’s built deep connections and lasting memories through the intense games of soccer.
Fun fact, Alec is American/Armenian and was named after a former Armenian Major League Soccer player, Alecko Eskandarian!
From 2019-2023, Alec played soccer at Auburn University at Montgomery and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Science and a double minor in Sports Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning.
Alec was awarded Top Graduating Senior by the AUM Athletics Department in 2023! He has recently spent a graduate year playing at the University of Central Arkansas in December 2024.
After a standout collegiate career, Alec is back where it all started- grateful and ready to make an impact right at home. “I am beyond grateful to have this opportunity in my hometown and I do not take it for granted- it’s truly incredible!”
Beyond the pitch, Alec is a passionate advocate for health and fitness. He enjoys playing pickle ball, mountain biking, and spending time with his family and friends.
We are lucky to have his drive, heart, and experience as part of our team this season. Go Dragons!
